Narrator: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Why live a normal life when you could be living the abundant life? Welcome to the Abundant Life Program With Ashley and Carlie Terradez.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Hello and welcome to Abundant Life. We’re so glad you’ve joined us today in the lounge. My name’s Ashley, Terradez, this is my wife Carlie, and we’ve got a great program for today. And we’re looking, we’re actually at the end of the series, we’re looking at how you can see the promises of God manifest in your life. How you can see God’s promises and walk them out in your life. Praise God. So where are we up to Carlie?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Amen. Well, through this whole series we’ve been covering the process of confession, creation, and manifestation. What happens the minute we speak a word of faith from our lips, it goes into a creation phase. The word of God is planted and it starts creating because our words have power. But then sometimes there is a period of time which is up to our heart, it’s not up to God as to when that seed germinates and creates what we’d say is a manifestation. In other words, when the time lapse between speaking the word of God, and receiving the promise that we know that He’s already provided for us.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
And so we’ve been covering that through our entire series, we’ve covered a number of different things in there, the power of our words. We’ve talked about patience, we’ve talked about the pairing of faith and patience, and we’ve been talking most recently about peace. Last time we was talking about how to let peace rule in our hearts, peace be the umpire of our hearts, and how to keep our mind stayed upon the Lord. But this time we’re going to be talking about the supernatural power of peace that comes as we allow those processes to take part in our heart, but also what it means to let not our heart be troubled.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Because there is some very specific interactions that Jesus has in the gospels with a couple of individuals, that we can learn something from. And I believe the secret to seeing the manifestation or the promises of God in our life, comes from a place of peace. It comes from a place of, not of toil and of anxiety, and of a striving, and of trying to make something happen, but of learning to rest in the finished work of the cross. It’s learning to rest and enter into His rest of what Jesus has already paid for, for us.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Amen, we have to labor to enter that rest.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
We do.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
It’s amazing how just out natural, our human nature and legalism wants us to strive and do something, and perform in order to receive from God. But the truth is like Carlie said, Jesus has already paid for it in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the atonement, everything’s been paid for. Your righteousness, your healing, your provision, your peace, it’s a done deal. Grace has provided it. Now our part by faith is to say yes, we’ll believe it and receive it, and that’s it. And that’s why we have to labor for that rest because, it sometimes can be laboring to make sure that we’re not trying to make it happen ourselves.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Abraham had a promise from God, he tried to make it happen himself and ended up with Ishmael. We don’t want to do that, we want to rest in God and receive from God because God has the best for us. God has the best for you. Did you know it doesn’t matter where you’re from, where you’ve been, God has only good for you. He has good things for you and He wants you to receive those good things. He wants you to live a long, prosperous life and He wants you to receive those good things. So rest in His finished work. You know you’re one spirit with the Lord, you can rest with Him, and you can receive peace as you see those promises manifest in your life. Amen?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Amen. One question that we’re often asked is, how can we make the promises of God manifest quicker in our life? Maybe if you’ve been dealing with something for a number of years, we started out in a very first teaching session in this series, talking about the man by the pool of Bethesda that had been sick for 38 years, and yet even though he had some stinking thinking, even though he had some negative past experiences, and a lot of baggage to overcome, he was still able to receive instantaneously the appealing power of God from Jesus. Amen. And so, that’s a valid question, what can I do to make the promises of God manifest quicker in my life? Well-

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
How can we microwave a miracle?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
How could we microwave a miracle is another way to put it. But honestly it is to learn to rest it. And I mean, that’s not really the answer that people are necessarily looking for. Now, there are some practical things that we can do, because as Ashley was saying, we labor to enter into that rest. But if we want to see the manifestation and the promises of God in our life, it’s learning to rest in what Jesus has already done. So how do we rest in what Jesus has already done? Well, we went through some of those things in our last session. The practice of keeping our mind state upon the Lord, of seeking Him, of letting peace be our umpire, of even using prayer and praying in tongues as a tool to keep our mind focused.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
To train our mind, to take captive every thought and cast down all those things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, those vain imaginations. So to really take captive our own thought life and keep it stayed upon the Lord. That’s one way that we can labor to enter into the rest, and see the promises of God, and come to manifestation in our life. But I want to start with a scripture here this time in Romans 16:19 and Paul here is saying, “Therefore I am glad on your behalf, yet I want you to be wise to that which is good, and innocent to that which is evil.” Now this is, again, this is kind of referring to our thought life.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
We need to be wise to the things of the kingdom and really let our mind be focused on what God says about our situation. Even in the midst of a storm, as we covered last time, we can have a supernatural peace. So ignorant concerning what is evil, but wise concerning what is good. And this is the consequence, and the very next verse says, “And,” so as a result of, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” Now this is a powerful scripture. You know that little word and there, it’s a conjunction. It means, both of, not either or, but both. So if we, in other words, if we follow what happened in the verse before, then the consequence is, the God of peace will be able to crush, soon crush Satan under our feet.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
He’ll be able to, you know what happens when we enter into peace, when we keep our mind state upon the Lord, what happens is we’re inviting Jesus into our everyday situation, right? We’re opening, we’ve talked about this in Colossians about habitually having our minds stayed upon the Lord and the power of that. But when we do that, what that does is that invites God into our situations. Sometimes, especially if we’ve been dealing with something for a long time, it’s almost like we have our hands on it so tightly, we won’t let it go with the rains. We won’t even let God in on it, right?

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Let go and let God. It’s cheesy but it’s true.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Yeah.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Let go and let God. And you know, Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth.” And you know the devil is defeated foe, but what he’s saying is, by doing this we are stopping the devil giving us thought. So even though he’s defeated, he is still real and he is still going around as a roaring lion, and all he can do is give us thoughts. All he can do is give us deception, that’s the only thing he can do, he can deceive us because he’s got no power. So the only power he has is the power we give him. And when he gives us a thought, if we choose to meditate on that thought and to allow that thought into our heart, and activate that thought, then that can be deception, that can lead us into fear, and that can lead us into things we don’t want to go down.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
But the way we conquer that is keep us thoughts on the Lord, keep up our minds stayed on the Lord, and then that’ll crush Satan’s thoughts, he can’t even give us the thoughts anymore when we do that. And this verse is so great because you know it’s interesting how people they want to find out, they have one little pain and they want to Google and find out everything medical-

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
WebMD.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
WebMD and all that. And find out all the medical history of that disease, and if you’ve got it in your ancestry and all this stuff. You know that’s evil, disease is evil, sickness is evil. Don’t spend your time researching that stuff, spend your time thinking on the good. Spend your time thinking on what the word says. The word says you are healed, the word says, Jesus paid for that sickness. Look in Isaiah, look in 1 Peter 2:24, read those verses, meditate on those verses. Make yourself a scholar of good, if you like, of the word of God and be ignorant of the evil. Be ignorant of the world way of doing things.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
And the result is, and the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Yeah, it’s amazing when we do this, we put God first, we exalt His word, we exalt Him above the situation and a truth may be a bad rapport, a truth may be in the natural, you’re broke. In the natural your business is going under, in the natural you might be losing your house, that’s a report. But the report is God is your healer. The report is you’re going to live and not die. The report is, God’s going to supply your needs according to His riches. The report is everything you touch prospers, that’s the report. That’s the truth.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
And what we do is we choose to meditate on the truth. We take every thought captive 2 Corinthians tells us, take every thought captive, and then we make that sort of obedience to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10, if it’s against Christ, if it’s against the word of God, John 10:10, has it come to kill, steal and destroy, or has it come to give us life and life more abundantly? Is a thought we have is a thought of death or of destruction, then that’s a negative thought, that’s an evil thought, we need to cast that down. If it’s a positive thought, that’s going to lead to life and life more abundantly, if it’s a thought from the word of God, then we need to think on that and meditate on that.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Philippians 4:8 shows us what to meditate on, shows us what to occupy our mind on. And that’s our advice to you today, be ignorant on the things that are evil, and cling to what is good. Amen?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Right. you know, there’s a powerful scripture here. This is in, in John 14 now, just before Jesus was going to leave, He was explaining to His disciples, “I’m going and the Holy spirit the helper is coming.” And they didn’t necessarily want to hear about how Jesus was going to die, they didn’t really understand what he was talking about. But this was His final piece of information that he left with us here on earth. So you could say it’s Jesus’s farewell, it’s His parting greeting, if you like, parting instructions to His disciples. So it’s important that we pay attention to this. So this is in John 14:1 and He says to his disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled, if you believe in God, believe also in me.”

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
You think, well, that’s fair enough. Let not-

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Good advice.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 10
Good advice, let not your heart be troubled. But you know what, He actually says it twice in the same passage. Go over to verse 27 and He says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives you do I give you, but let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.” You know when Jesus says something twice, we need to pay attention to it, especially when it’s in red. Anything that’s in red, pay attention to it. That’s why the utility companies write in red when they want to get your attention, right. But and it’s interesting because in Hebrew, when you want to emphasize something, you say it first, you say it backwards at the beginning of the sentence. And that word leave, it means to bequeath. IT’s kind of-

Ashley:
I didn’t know what bequeath means.

Carlie:
Bequeath, it’s kind of, very old word, but it means to leave behind something valuable. So well if everything that Jesus could have left us, He says, “My peace, I leave with you. My peace I leave with you.” And I often wonder well, why is that so important? Because you can compare that to other verses where Jesus says, basically I’m coming to bring a sword. I’m not coming to bring peace, I’m coming to bring a sword.

Ashley:
Turn mother against father and all, and all that.

Carlie:
So like what is that? He wasn’t talking, and He made it quite clear, not as the world peace. He’s not talking about there being peace and there being end of wars-

Ashley:
Peace man.

Carlie:
Peace man, not that kind of peace. He’s talking about the kind of peace that is a supernatural peace that only comes from the father. This word peace is the same word is Shalom, right? Or Irene in the Greek. But this is talking about safety, wholeness, health, friendship, prosperity. This is talking about completeness. health, welfare, prosperity, peace, safety, favor and friendship. He was saying, I’m unconditionally giving you all of these things. I’m leaving these with you, but let not your heart be troubled. I think that’s interesting, isn’t it? Because He could have said, don’t worry about all these things that are going on in the world, don’t look at all this stuff.

Carlie:
Don’t worry about what your neighbors are saying, don’t worry about what your family is saying, don’t worry about all those things. But He said, “Let not your heart be troubled.” It was almost like He was saying, you are the ruler of your own heart.

Ashley:
Amen. And that’s the truth. And there’s many times that Jesus says, do not be afraid. And in this passage again, He says, do not let your heart be troubled twice. It’s up to us to let our heart not be trouble.

Carlie:
Only, actually, only we can let not our heart be troubled.

Ashley:
That’s right and Jesus-

Carlie:
You can’t do it for me and I can’t do it for you.

Ashley:
That’s right, I can help you and encourage you, but I ultimately can’t do it. Jesus only asks us to do things that we can do. He’s never going to ask us to do something that we cannot do. So when He asks us to let our hearts be troubled, that means we have the power. We’ve been empowered to let not our heart be troubled. We have the power to keep our heart with all diligence. We have the power to keep our heart, there’s so many verses about this, about keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life, and things that. Do not be afraid, do not let fear in.

Ashley:
We have the power to do that and it starts with our thoughts. As we think and keep our mind stayed on the Lord, it stops our heart being troubled. Praise God. And that’s so important, it’s up to us, it’s not works, it’s not something we have to work for, no it’s something we already have, but we have to be diligent in guarding our hearts.

Carlie:
We do.

Ashley:
Jesus says this a number of times, guard your heart. We have to guard our heart. That means be careful what we see, be careful how we hear, these things are important because things are going to come in, and if we let those things in and meditate on them, they’ll get into our heart, and we can experience fear. And people have problems with fear and yet all they do is spend their time watching horror movies. Or they worry about being sick and they feel sick, and all they do is they’re on the internet researching on the latest diseases. These things, if you let these things, if you see these things and hear these things, you’re going to end up letting them in your heart, and then your heart is going to be troubled. And Jesus says, don’t let your heart be trouble.

Carlie:
So if we want to be people that have our minds stayed upon God, and that live in that place of peace, of safety, of health, of wholeness, of friendship, of favor, of healing, of wholeness, of prosperity, it comes from having an untroubled heart. We’re the only people that can let not our heart be troubled. In Proverbs 4:20 it says, “My son attend to my words, consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight, keep them in the center of your heart, the center of your heart for their life to those who find them, healing and health for all of their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance, and above all that you guard, for out of it springs the issues of life.”

Carlie:
Here’s the thing, we have to, like you’re saying, keep our heart with all diligence. We can let not our heart be troubled by habitually keeping our minds stayed upon the Lord. You know, here’s the thing, Satan does not know what to do with an untroubled heart.

Ashley:
That’s good.

Carlie:
This is powerful. Because the only power that the enemy has in our life is deception. He doesn’t have power to rule in our flesh, he doesn’t power to rule in our finances, he doesn’t have power to rule in our minds, or in our thoughts, or in our families, he is crushed under our feet. He’s a defeated foe. You know, he’s roaming around, it says in 1 Peter, as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He doesn’t even have permission to eat us. He has to ask permission. Can I devour you? May I?

Ashley:
No.

Carlie:
No, you may not. We need to take ourselves off his menu.

Ashley:
I like how it talks about as a roaring lion as well he’s-

Carlie:
He’s not even a real-

Ashley:
… He’s as a roaring-

Carlie:
He’s not a real lion.

Ashley:
… Lion. And I think it’s in Isaiah where it says, “Is this the man,” you know, when they see Satan in the flesh. “Is this the man that put fear in the nations?” It’s pathetic. You know, really Satan is totally defeated, Jesus stripped him of all power and all principalities, It says in Ephesians. One time I asked one of our children, is the devil real? Is the devil still real because some people teach the devil is not even real. I said, is the devil real? And one of my kids, said, “Yeah, the devil is real, but his weapons are fake.”

Carlie:
That’s good.

Ashley:
And that’s true. The devil is real, but his weapons are fake. He has no power over us. The only power he has over us is the power we give him. And as Carlie said, you know what? He has to find who he can devour. He has to search out people he can devour, people that have set their mind on things that are bad, people that have let these bad thoughts in, people that have meditated on fear. You know Job in the book of Job it says, the things that, job said this, he said, “The thing that I’ve greatly feared the most has come upon me.” So Job already thought about those bad things, and that was giving Satan access into his life.

Carlie:
It’s an inroad. Satan comes to steal the word from us, he comes to trouble our heart. with the cares of this world, the distractions, the lust for other things, and if he can still the peace that’s in our heart, he can prevent us from accessing all of the grace, and the privilege and the the manifestations of what God has for us. God has provided freely everything through grace, but peace is what keeps what grace has provided for us.

Ashley:
That’s good.

Carlie:
If we want to retain what God has given to us and access it fully, we have to let not our hearts be troubled, neither be afraid. I mean that’s a process in itself, but it comes by attending to His words and keeping our heart with all diligence. I want to go here, this is an example here in Mark chapter five. And this is, I’ve read this time and time again and many of you will be familiar with it. This is the woman with the issue of blood. And this is obviously a healing a testimony here, but it could apply to many different things. Many people that have been searching after something from God for a long time.

Carlie:
Okay, so she was pushing through the crowd, this is in Mark chapter five, she was pushing through the crowd and in verse 28 she said, “If I may touch His garments, I shall be healed.” You see, she confessed with her mouth how the manifestation was going to happen. She released the power of God through her words in that very statement. She said, this is the way that I’m going to receive from God.

Ashley:
Again, we’re the variable, right? The word of God is constant, God’s will is for always for us to be healed, God’s will is only for good for us, and God wants us healed every time, but our hearts are the variable. How we receive is how we see it, right? It’s how we expect to receive.

Carlie:
We receive according to how we believe.

Ashley:
The Centurion, right, he just said, “Say the word and my servant will be healed.”

Carlie:
Right there’s many different ways.

Ashley:
And she says, “If I touch His garment, I’ll be healed.” So it’s almost like, how you’re expecting to be healed, that’s how it’s going to happen for you if that’s how you believe in it.

Carlie:
And so she said that she spoke it out, she released the power through her confession, and immediately those words went into creation. And the next verse says, “And immediately,” see immediately the hemorrhage dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed. She spoke it, it was created and it was manifest, right there instantaneously. That’s a quick manifestation. So she was healed of the affliction. “So at once Jesus knew within Him that power had gone out of Him and He said, “Who touched my garments?” His disciples were saying, “What do you mean who touched me? There’s a whole crowd around you.” But He looked around to see the woman who had done it, and the woman he said to her, “Daughter.” She came and fell and told Him the entire truth.”

Carlie:
Verse 34, “He said to her daughter, your faith has made you well, go in peace and be healed of your affliction.” Now, maybe this is just me, but have you ever wondered I thought she was healed a few verses ago? Because it said there in verse 29, she was healed. But here is Jesus saying, “Go in peace and be healed.”

Ashley:
So which is it?

Carlie:
So which is it? Was she healed or not healed? So actually I started to study this out. And you know she was healed, that word healed is healed, she was healed of her afflictions. When Jesus was talking to and He said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well,” that would well is Sozo. That means, not just well, but delivered, but forgiven, it’s the whole package. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. This word healed that He uses here is a different word for healed, it’s [inaudible 00:21:17]. I don’t know how to say that very well, but that’s how I’m saying it anyway.

Carlie:
It’s a different word from healed and it’s the same word healed that He used when the lame man had his limb restored. So it’s to be made completely whole. You see, when she came to Jesus, she got more than she anticipated. She came, but He was saying, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.” You’ve been healed, you’ve been Sozoed. But in order to be completely whole, you need to go in peace. That’s quite different. In the amplified it says, “To continue in peace and be permanently healed of your affliction.”

Ashley:
That’s good.

Carlie:
As we continue in peace, as we keep ourselves in peace, and that very phrase, the tense in which that was written, this means a continuous action to go in the direction of peace and give yourself entirely to it, to agree with it. And it’s written in the present tense, which means it’s now an ongoing. So He was saying to her, daughter, you have been made well, but to keep this healing power that you’ve received in your body, to continue in peace and find yourself permanently in a place of healing, of whole in every area of your life, you need to be in relationship. You need to be in relationship. You need to continue and be continually going into relationship with me. To continue in that peace.

Ashley:
Because what can happen is, people can receive their healing, maybe this has happened to you. You can receive your healing, you can receive prayer and receive your healing, but then a short time afterwards the enemy is going to come and try and give you symptoms back again. He’s going to try and come and steal that healing from you. That happened to us with our daughter Hannah. When she was healed, she was healed miraculously, we fed her, she was fine, and then in a short time afterwards, later on that day, the symptoms came back and we had to use our authority, and I was at peace that she was healed. She is healed, this is it, done deal.

Ashley:
And we used our authority and we stopped those symptoms. But the deal is, once you’re healed, this lady, she was healed but the symptoms could come back on her. So even though she was healed, the symptoms could have tried to come back, and the devil could have tried to come out to steal the word. Is this really true? Was you really healed? And that’s what Jesus is saying, right? So you’ve got to go in peace, you’ve got to go into relationship with me in peace, ongoing peace, to guard your heart and make sure you don’t let these symptoms come back. Make sure you don’t let the devil deceive you into believing you’re sick again.

Carlie:
Amen. If we can keep our heart with all diligence and remain that place of peace, our miracle that we’re waiting for, I mean it’s a done deal, it’s manifesting. I mean it has got no choice, right? The word of God has been sown and is manifesting, but we need to keep ourselves in that place of peace. Just like you were saying with Hannah, when symptoms start arising, what they’re doing is they are trying to exalt themselves against the things of the knowledge of God. They’re trying to become more important, and more real to us in that moment than what the word of God says.

Carlie:
But you know what happened when we were believing for our daughter? And we’ve already referenced this several times during this teaching, you can see the full testament on our website at terradez.com. But because peace had been ruling in our hearts, this whole journey through through our daughter’s sickness, when those symptoms came back, the peace of God was ruling in our hearts at that moment, and we were able to let not our heart be troubled. And because we let not your heart be troubled, we were neither fearful nor afraid, just as Jesus was saying to His disciples in John chapter 14. And because we weren’t afraid and we stayed in peace then it shut down the plans of the enemy, and the power of God was reigning in our situation.

Ashley:
This could be the same with financial lack-

Carlie:
It would work for every situation.

Ashley:
… This could be the same with turmoil and all sorts of things. You know what? You have to let that peace, and the way you get that is, as we’ve already talked about, you keep your mind stayed on the Lord. You get these truths, these promises of God, and you plant them in your heart, you plant the seed of the word of God in your heart, praise God. And that will give you a sure foundation, that’ll give you a confidence knowing that, no, it doesn’t matter what the circumstances look like, the truth is that I’m prosperous. The truth is that God’s going to provide from my needs, the truth is I’m healed. The truth is I’m going to live and not die. And you have that peace, that confidence. And that confidence produces peace, peace that surpasses all understanding, and I tell you what, the devil can’t touch you. You become like Teflon.

Carlie:
Amen.

Ashley:
Nothing sticks.

Carlie:
Nothing can stick.

Ashley:
Nothing sticks, Amen isn’t that awesome? Praise God, we’re out of time.
