Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Hey, we’re so glad that you could join us. We are halfway through our series here talking about the process of what happens between confession, creation, and manifestation. So, hold on for our next program.

Narrator: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Why live a normal life when you could be living the abundant life? Welcome to The Abundant Life Program with Ashley and Carlie Terradez.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Hello and welcome To Abundant Life. We’re so glad you’ve joined us today. My name is Ashley Terradez, this is my wife Carlie, and we’re halfway through a series. We’re talking about how the power of God can manifest in your life. Praise God. It’s powerful. We are talking about confession, creation and manifestation, and seeing the promises of God actually manifest in your day to day life. Praise God. So, where are we up to, Carlie?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Well, we’ve been talking about a lot of different things, but recently we’ve been covering the power of our words. How what comes out of our mouth, blessings or cursing, has an effect. It has a creative power of itself and our words are instruments that create manifestation. They create things. The world was created with words, Jesus himself was spoken into being. His very birth was the fulfillment of hundreds of prophecies. And we too, with our same mouth, we can speak either blessings or cursings into our lives, and those things will cause a manifestation.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
It’s like seeds that are being sown. We’ve used the example before about how a farmer sows seed in the ground and there is a period of seed time and harvest. Now, it’s not comfortable, but sometimes we get stuck waiting for the harvest.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Right.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
We’re like, “How long is this seed that I’ve sown going to take to germinate?”

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
So, we’re sowing the seed of the word of God. The seed is the word of God. When we sow the word of God into our life, regarding a promise in God’s word, then there’s a time that … It can be a very quick time. God’s best for us is to receive instantly, but some of it is there’s a time period. It’s seed time and harvest the time.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
And no one likes the time, but it’s part of it.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
No one likes the long time bit. Through patience and perseverance we receive the promises of God. So, I think there’s something we can do, right? There’s some things we can do to help with that timeframe.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Absolutely.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
And certainly stop us from getting discouraged.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Absolutely, for sure. One of the major things that we want to talk about today is how we release the power that’s in our words. We speak lots of words, but we want to make sure we’re speaking the right words. Let’s look here in Mark 11, this is the famous chapter of the lesson the fig tree here. And Mark 11 has a lot to say, there’s a couple of things that I want to pick out of this. And then we’ll flip backwards and forwards here in Mark 11 and also Matthew 21, okay?

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
But, in Mark 11 this is the story of the fig tree. In verse 20 it says, “In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered up from the roots.” So, the day before Jesus has cursed the fig tree, and it says, “In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.” Now if you want to find out where I’m referring to, you can look in verse 14 there. It says, “Jesus said to it, ‘May no one ever eat fruit from you again.’ And his disciples heard it.”

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Jesus cursed the fig tree because it was supposed to be having figs on it and it wasn’t, it was a fraud. It was a fake fig tree and he used his words to curse the fig tree. Sometimes we think curses are just … they’re evil, they’re of the devil, or whatever. But, here it is Jesus uses a curse to accomplish his will. He cursed the fig tree with his own words. And, you know we have the power to do that, as well. So, if things rise up in our lives that are against the plans of God in our lives, if things of the enemies rise up against us, if sickness rises up in our body? Man, I’m going to curse the sickness.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
We can speak death to disease-

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Yes, absolutely.

Ashley:
… we can speak death to certain diseases and things. We could speak death to bad reports and things like that.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Absolutely.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
We can curse those things.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
In fact when I’m ministering, healing, to people, this is a very practical thing that I do all the time. When I know that they have a symptom of disease raging in their body, I’m going to speak to that sickness, that cancer, whatever it is and I’m going to curse it at its root. I’m going to command it to die, to shrivel up, to wither away, to leave their body in Jesus’ name.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
And then with my same mouth I’m going to speak life to the cells in their body. I’m going to speak life to the surrounding cells. I’m going to speak rejuvenation to them, health and wholeness to them. To every cell in their body that’s maybe been affected by this sickness and disease to be restored as it was created to be.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Yeah.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
So, I’m cursing the darkness, I’m cursing the disease, but I’m speaking life to the health and flesh.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Amen.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
With our same tone, with our same mouth, we can speak blessings and cursings. And we can use those in accordance with the promises of God.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Yeah, we don’t want to get hung up on cursing things and speaking. I know some people, they spend so much time fighting the devil. They spend more time fighting the devil than serving God.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Mm-hmm (affirmative).

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
So, I certainly don’t want the viewers to get caught up in cursing this and cursing that, and spend all their time speaking against things. The famous example is if you want the darkness to leave, you don’t just curse the darkness, you turn on the light.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
So, ultimately it’s always Jesus, the life of God is the answer to these things. But, there may be times when it’s appropriate to curse that disease, tell that disease to die, tell that disease to stop. And it’s right to use our authority in that way and use our words in that way. But, it’s got to be in balance. Like I said, we don’t want to spend the majority of our time doing this.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Well, I’m talking about things that are rising up against the word of God, against the promises of God.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
That’s good.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
We’re not just throwing our words out there. Like a farmer is intentional, but where he scattered his seed is not, right?

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Yeah.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
So, he’s intentional about where he’s going to sow the seed and where he’s going to plant it. We need to do the same with our words.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
This going to be controversial and I’m sure some people are going to get mad at me, but I’m just going to say it. There’s some Christians that do this … like if they’re going to have a picnic and it looks like it’s going to rain, they’ll start cursing the rain and telling the rain clouds and stuff and everything else, “Well, Jesus did it with the storm, we’ve got power over the rain. We can just stop the rain. We want to have our little picnic, so the rain should stop.”

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
And for me, this is my opinion don’t get mad at me, but I think the reason Jesus commanded the storm to stop … is it a life or death situation? I mean, there was a reason why he had to command natural elements.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
Yeah, the motivation behind it-

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
The motivation is different. And you know what? If there’s a natural element, if you’re in a storm and you’re going to die, or it’s raining so hard that there’s going to be a flood and people are going to be in danger? Then sure, you can talk to the floods, you can talk to the rain.

Ashley: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
But, if it’s just because you want to have a little picnic for an hour with your family, get over it. I mean it’s like we need rain, so I want to tell people this. Sometimes there’s an abuse of this and people go too far the other way and go around just commanding everything to happen and try to curse every five minutes. Use this as it’s meant to be used.

Carlie: Manifesting Miracles Part 5
This is a tool not to be overworked. Let’s get into this in verse 20. “So in the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree with it up from the roots.” Now, this is interesting because we’ve been talking about how we release the power of God through confession. And then there is a creation phase where what we have confessed goes to work in creating.

Carlie:
And then there’s a period of time before we see the manifestation. So, we can see here there’s a period of time from the minute that that command left Jesus’ lips to when they saw it manifest in the fig tree, right? But, look at Matthew’s example. Could you pull up Matthew 21 for me? And this is in verse 18-

Ashley:
Verse 18, yep.

Ashley:
“In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he become hungry,” so he’s getting hungry here, “and seen a fig tree by the wayside. He went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, ‘May no fruit ever come from you again.” So he cursed the fig tree. He got mad because the fig tree had leaves, it looked like it should have figs, he gets there and they said there’s no figs.

Ashley:
I’ve also heard people talk about this, about how the fruit that Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was figs, and this is an extra reason why Jesus was mad.

Carlie:
Yeah.

Ashley:
He was mad at the figs because of the fig tree. But anyway, that could be true. “And the fig tree withered at once.” So, at once. It says, “At once the fig tree withered up.”

Carlie:
Yeah, and I’m reading here in the modern English version, it says, “Immediately the fig tree withered away.” And they said, verse 20, “When the disciples saw it, they were amazed. How did the fig tree wither away instantly?” So, it looks like here we have Jesus speaks and in in Mark’s account there is a period of time, like maybe 24 hours, the next day, before they saw the effects of that word on the fig tree.

Carlie:
But in Matthew’s account, it says instantly he spoke the word. So which is it? Now, it’s both. Amen, right? The the word only compliments itself, it doesn’t contradict each other, okay? But so what happened here is in one account you’ve got instantaneous, the next it’s the next day. Well, when we look into it we see that the word had an effect instantaneously. Immediately the word left Jesus’ lips, it went to work on that fig tree, but it went to work in a place that we couldn’t see it.

Carlie:
It says, “It withered away at its roots.” His word went to work immediately, yes. But, it went to work in the creation phase attacking the roots of that fig tree. We use this example last time, I think it was, of a child. When a child is in the womb, we know that the seed has been sown and there’s a creation that is going on while the child is in that womb. But, there’s nine months before we see the child manifest. It’s the same sort of thing with the fig tree here. The minute that that word left Jesus mouth, it went immediately to work on the roots of the fig tree. But, there was a period of time before they saw it on the outside and that’s why we have an account here were one thinks it’s immediately and one thinks it’s the next day, both are right.

Carlie:
And we can take comfort in this because sometimes, I don’t know about you, but we’ve prayed for things and it’s like nothing changes in the natural.

Ashley:
Right, yeah.

Carlie:
And I think sometimes that actually puts people off from using their authority in the first place. We’ve been given God-given authority over things like sickness and disease, poverty, right? But sometimes people are afraid to even to use their authority to speak out blessings and cursings in accordance with God’s word because what happens if they speak and nothing happens?

Ashley:
Right. Then nothing happens in the natural.

Carlie:
In the natural, that’s right.

Ashley:
So, we’re looking at natural for natural results. We’re looking at something that happened in the natural [inaudible 00:10:09] happens. If we’re praying for healing, something that happened in someone’s physical body. But just like this fig tree story, we know what happened was it happened instantly. Instantly Jesus’ prayer went about and it happened, the fig tree died instantly. But because it died at the roots, people couldn’t see in the natural. They couldn’t see it in the natural until that took effect and then it died in the leaves and stuff, the branches, so then you could see it as visible. So, the word of God worked, but it took a time until it was visible. So, when we pray for people we are releasing the power of God.

Ashley:
It says, “Believers lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” When we pray for people, we believe and we’re imparting the power of God into them and those prayers have gone forth and they’re healed. That person’s healed. That person’s body is healed, but it may take some time to see it manifest.

Carlie:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).

Ashley:
And this where people can get frustrated. They say, “Well, nothing’s happened. I must not be healed.” We always tell people we believe God’s will is to be instantly healed physically, instantaneously, right away. But sometimes due to different circumstances peoples hearts, peoples minds, where people are at in the word, things like that, it may take some time for them to receive it. But the power God has still gone in them. They are still healed, but it’s just a matter of time before it manifests in the flesh.

Carlie:
And this is the challenge, isn’t it? Because Hebrews 6 verse 12 says, “By faith and patience, we inherit the promises.” By faith and patience. Everyone wants to be a person of faith and power, but patience is not exactly-

Ashley:
Patience isn’t very glamorous.

Carlie:
It isn’t.

Ashley:
Not many people pray for patience. Patience isn’t very glamorous. [crosstalk 00:11:39] I pray sometimes, I say, “Lord, give me patience now.”

Carlie:
I’m just starting to [inaudible 00:11:48] thank you. Patience is a powerful force. Patience is a powerful force because is what is what holds us in that place of faith. Patience clings to the word of God while we’re in that creation phase to bring us into that point of manifestation.

Carlie:
Patience is what holds us grounded and rooted and says, “I’ve spoken the word. I’ve released the power of God. I believe the word. I believe, I’ve said it and therefore I have it, and I don’t care if I see it.”

Ashley:
Amen.

Carlie:
And while we’re in that phase patience is holding us is because faith will waver. Faith can go up and down depending on how we feel about things, right? But, patience holds us together with faith until that point of manifestation.

Carlie:
Let’s look and carry on down here in this lesson of the fig tree here in Mark 11:22 it says, “Jesus answered them and said ‘Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be removed and thrown into the sea and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will have them, and you will have them.”

Carlie:
This is so important. There’s like three times as much speaking in here as there is as believing. And I think we miss this sometimes because we don’t actually have a faith problem. We have the faith of Jesus, we have more than enough faith to move the mountain, right? A mustard seed of faith will get the job done, and we have it in an abundance because we have the faith of Jesus on the inside of us. So, we didn’t have a problem believing, often times we get tripped up speaking.

Ashley:
It’s true.

Carlie:
And three times as many times in here it says, “I say unto you,” Jesus says, “say unto this mountain we release faith, we release power, we release creativity with our words.” We have to be speaking.

Carlie:
And I remember one time particularly, and it’s dear to us anyway, our daughter Hannah. She was … Many of you will have seen in her testimony. If you haven’t you can see it on our website actually at terradez.com. Her full DVD testimony is on there.

Carlie:
But, at three years old, she was sent home from the hospital to die. She had an incurable autoimmune disorder and basically she was withering away. She was drawing up from the root, wasn’t she?

Ashley:
She really was.

Carlie:
She could not eat any kind of food and she was starving to death.

Ashley:
She was wearing the size of a nine month old baby clothes.

Carlie:
But, she was three and a half.

Ashley:
She was three and a half years old, that’s how stunted her growth was. We’d take her to the hospital many times, they’d done an operation and put a feeding tube directly into her stomach. And she had to have this machine pumping food into her 23 hours a day with a one hour break a day. So, that’s where she was at. She never … Actually never had solid food. She could only drink water and that was it.

Carlie:
Yeah. All of her hair fell out, her skin went translucent, she looked like a little skeleton really. And she basically was in a vegetative state. Well, at three and a half, the doctors sent her home from the hospital to die. And as parents, obviously you pray for your children, right? And we prayed for Hannah, but there were some things in our heart that we didn’t understand. We did not understand about the power of our words. We did not understand that God’s will was always to heal. We thought sometimes God healed and sometimes he didn’t.

Carlie:
I mean, we’ve seen me being here with epilepsy, but in our understanding and the background that we came from, it was like, “Well, praise God, I was lucky. God just picked me.” That’s a wrong theology.

Ashley:
Yeah.

Carlie:
But, because we had that as our understanding, we couldn’t really pray a prayer of faith for Hannah because we didn’t know that it was God’s will to heal every time. So, even though we were speaking some things, there wasn’t really any faith behind our words, behind what we were speaking, because we didn’t really know what God’s will was. I think it’s 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We believe and therefore we speak.” Well, if we’re not believing right, we’re not going to be speaking right.

Carlie:
So, we were speaking a lot of things, but we weren’t believing very much. And so we’d got ahold of Andrew Womack’s teaching, and for the first time we realized that God want us well. God wants our daughter well. So we took her home from the hospital, we went straight to one of his meetings. We met Andrew and he prayed for our daughter. Now when Andrew prayed for our daughter, we knew she didn’t have very much time left.

Carlie:
And here’s the thing that I think sometimes people miss. When Andrew prayed for our daughter, it wasn’t really anything special about that prayer. It was a very simple prayer. He just commanded a body to be well in Jesus’ name. There wasn’t any angels, there wasn’t any trumpets, no lightning flashes from Heaven. And then he left the room and you know what happened to Hannah, on the outside anyway? Absolutely nothing.

Ashley:
Everything looked the same.

Carlie:
She looked exactly the same. But just like according to this lesson of the fig tree here, we knew that the word of God had been released and it was impacting Hannah in her intestines right where it needed to be. But, we couldn’t see it yet, right?

Ashley:
Right.

Carlie:
So the word of God, the power of God, had been released into Hannah through confession, but it was in the creation phase and we hadn’t yet seen the manifestation of her healing. And we had to take it by faith. We knew it in our heads, we knew what the word of God says, “you lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” We’d done that part. We had spoken the word of God into Hannah.

Carlie:
But the thing was, we hadn’t seen the manifestation. And I remember … I am sure you did, too. I remember sitting in that back room thinking, “What do we do next?”

Ashley:
Right.

Carlie:
“What do we do next? How is this … I mean, we’ve prayed for her. We’ve done what the word of God says. She still looks like she’s dying. Nothing’s changed on the outside. What’s the next step?”

Ashley:
Right. So basically, it was we believe she was healed, so because we believed she was healed we wanted to treat her like she was healed. And actually we told her, we said, “Hannah, while you were asleep, Jesus healed you.” She was asleep in her stroller at the time. We said, “While you was asleep, Jesus’ healed you.” And she smiled. She said, “I want to eat.”

Carlie:
Now, we didn’t realize at that point how significant that was.

Ashley:
Right, telling her that, yeah.

Carlie:
Yeah. “While you were sleeping, Jesus healed you.” Here’s the thing, Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.”

Ashley:
Yeah.

Carlie:
We spoke the word of God into Hannah. She heard it, her faith became alive.

Ashley:
And at three years old she believed us. As your children get older then they’re going to have to make their own choices. But at three years old? A three year old believes that their parents [crosstalk 00:18:04]-

Carlie:
They don’t have any unbelief at that age.

Ashley:
… and unbelief. So, she believed it. She said, “I want to eat.” And she’d never eaten solid food in her life. She had an autoimmune disease where she couldn’t eat food. So, we treated her like she was healed and then we took her out to eat. And I remember our boys were young then, but both of our boys … and now Hannah’s healed. She can eat. She won’t have to have special treatment and she won’t have to have [inaudible 00:18:21], she can eat.

Ashley:
And sure enough, we took her out to KFC and people must have thought we were a strange family cause there’s five of us. We sat in a round table and our daughter had her fried chicken and french fries and chocolate milkshake, and we had our food but none of us ate. We just all stared at our daughter. We all just stared at Hannah and she took that fried chicken and ate it and at the fries and drunk the milkshake.

Ashley:
We just stared at her because we were so fascinated that she was eating solid food for the first time and swallowing it, and holding it down, and no reactions. Everything was absolutely fine at that point. So, that just shows you we just treated it like she was healed. We believed she was healed, therefore she treated like she was healed [crosstalk 00:18:55]-

Carlie:
We spoke this into [crosstalk 00:18:56] –

Ashley:
Yeah, faith comes first. And like James says, “Faith without works, or faith without corresponding actions, is dead.” So, if we truly believe something I would encourage you get the word of God, believe the word, study the word, meditate on the word. So that faith comes like Carlie said, “Faith comes by hearing.” So get that word of God in you and then when your faith rises up, you start believing it to that point, you’re going to want to act on it. You’re going to want to do something because your faith is so real.

Carlie:
Amen. And sometimes people think, “Well, it’s okay because you can pray for your daughter and see her heal, but you must have a special anointing.”

Ashley:
Yeah.

Carlie:
“You must have like a special faith. Whereas me, I just got like this clearance faith, right? I just got the drigs, I just don’t … when I speak, nothing seems to happen.” Well, we need to come back to 2 Corinthians 4:13, “We believe and therefore we speak.” We are not speaking … This is an abracadabra. We’re not speaking in order to convince ourselves to believe something. We have to speak, “Out of the abundance of our heart our mouth speaks.”

Carlie:
Look at this in Isaiah 51:16. This is the Lord speaking, it says, “I have put My words in your mouth. And I have covered you in the shadow of My hand that I might plant the Heavens, lay the foundations of the Earth, and say to Zion you are my people.” God has put His words in our mouth, and His words in our mouth are just as powerful as if He’d set them Himself.

Ashley:
Wow.

Carlie:
Some of us need to really hear that. We have Gods words in our mouth. Gods words planted in our heart are just as powerful spoken out of our mouth as if God has said them Himself.

Ashley:
Wow.

Carlie:
You imagine this, if we imagine every time that we are speaking, it’s like one of those little cartoons with the speech bubbles, [crosstalk 00:20:39] right? Every time that we are speaking out of our mouth go these little bubbles, these little bubbles of power that go to create something. If we can just visualize that they’re going to create something. Wherever they land, wherever they go into, they’re going to have an effect.

Carlie:
Just like with the fig tree, they’re going to cause that fig tree to wither up from the roots. Or just like with Hannah, that word of God was going into her intestines to bring life to them, and to make them, to call them things that be not as though they are. To speak life to the dead, and things started to come alive. That’s the creative power of the spoken word that God has put in our mouth.

Ashley:
Amen.

Carlie:
But you know what? We have to say it.

Ashley:
Yeah.

Carlie:
We have to open our mouth and actually say it.

Ashley:
That’s right. So, we told Hannah she was healed and we took her to eat. She ate for the first time, then when we got back in the car she actually started to show symptoms again, and she started to throw up. In fact, she used to sit in the middle of the car and we had our two boys either side and she’d thrown up so many times … that was one of our symptoms. Anytime she drank anything or she had pureed foods, she’d throw it up.

Ashley:
So she started to throw up and I have two boys duck for cover like, “She’s going to throw up.” And I remembered then, “You know what? We’ve got authority as believers.” This sickness came against the promises of God, this sickness was coming against the word of God. I have authority over sickness. So I turned around, I said, “Sickness, choking, you stop in Jesus name.” And it stopped. And I did it again, later on she started choking and I said, “choking you stop in Jesus name,” and it stopped.

Ashley:
And I was even like cursing the choking or cursing disease and it stopped. And that was 15 years ago now and she’s been … Oh no, 12 years ago. She’s been symptom-free. She’s 15 years old now, not one bit of doctors medication. Not one issue. They checked her out about six months later with the doctors and said, “We’ve tried, but we can’t find one thing wrong with you.” [crosstalk 00:22:21].

Carlie:
They tried really hard to find something.

Ashley:
Yeah, “We tried to find something wrong with you, but we can’t find one thing wrong with you. You are 100% healed. You’re perfect.” And that was because we put trust in the word of God and we spoke it out. We put our faith to action, if you like, and spoke it out. Now, for some people that might be a longer journey. I know people that believe their healing for many years and they seen it come to pass slowly. Again, it’s not God holding out on you, it’s not God making you wait. There’s other factors involved. But, it’s so important to stay in faith, to keep hearing the word of God, and to keep speaking those positive confessions. Keep blessing the situation. Curse disease, bless the situation, speak life to your body. Praise God.

Carlie:
Amen. So, patience is a powerful force that undergirds faith, you know? And they go together. I want to look at this. It’s in Hebrews chapter 6 verse 13, this is Abraham and Sarah again. It says, “For where God made a promise to Abraham, because he could vow by no one greater, he vowed by himself saying, surely I will bless you and surely I will multiply you.” So after Abraham had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. “By faith and patience, we inherit the promises.” That’s what it says just above that in verse 12. That you may not be lazy, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Ashley:
Yeah.

Carlie:
Abraham had to take the word of God, the promise of God, that he was going to be the father of many nations. Overlook all of the natural circumstances, the age of his wife, the age of him, and hold onto it. And it says, “By faith and patience, we inherit the promises.” It says, “Abraham had patiently endured.” The very word patience is talking about an endurance, but it’s not like, “Oh, I’m just going to suffer through to the end.” No. This type of patience, it’s talking about hopeful expectation. It’s talking about a cheerful endurance. Like, “Yay, my birthday’s coming!”

Ashley:
Giving thanks for it before you’ve even received it in the natural.

Carlie:
Right!

Ashley:
Giving thanks give you thanks for it because you have already received it in the spirit. So, giving thanks for it. Jesus talks about this when you pray, “believe and you receive.” So, believe you will receive, giving thanks for it, right?

Carlie:
Yeah.

Ashley:
And so Moses wasn’t moaning about or how long it’s going to take-

Carlie:
Abraham.

Ashley:
Abraham. I was also thinking Moses had a similar situation, but rather than them just moaning about the situation, no. They gave thanks and they were positive. It makes all the difference.

Carlie:
This kind of reminds mindset … When I was a kid and I couldn’t wait for my birthday to come around, or Christmas to come around. And you know what? On that day you’re going to receive presents and it’s going to be a celebration, and it’s going to be awesome. And I wasn’t thinking, “Oh no, another two weeks to my birthday,” “Oh no, another week to my birthday.” “Oh no, is this birthday ever going to come?” No. I mean, I was excited. This is a patient endurance. This is looking forward with expectation. This is thanking God already, like was Ashley saying, for a hope that is never disappointed. When we speak the word of God, we can know 100% that those words have power. They are creating.

Carlie:
When a woman falls pregnant, she is pregnant with a baby. She knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that eventually there is going to be a baby that she is going to give birth to. That is a time of excitement. And when we are expecting something you know what patients and faith do together? They plan for the future.

Ashley:
That’s good.

Carlie:
Patience and faith together, they plan for the future. Just like a woman expecting that baby. She’s going to get a nursery ready, she’s going to get the baby clothes, she’s going to get the stroller, they’re going to pick a name out for that baby. There is a patient endurance, a hopeful and cheerful expectation and endurance of something good is coming to us.

Ashley:
Amen, that’s true.

Carlie:
Amen. By faith and patience, we inherit the promises.

Ashley:
Amen. Amen. Well, we’re out of time, but we want to pray for you before we let you go and appreciate you watching and we’ll be back real soon.
